Grasmere Attractions

The central location of grasmere is handy for people who enjoy challenges and outdoor pursuits as it is in close proximity to the craggy creaks of Scafell Pike, Skiddaw and the Langdale Pikes.
Many of the Lake District towns that surround Grasmere can be classed as big tourist hotspots, especially places like Bowness on Windermere which attracts people all year round.

Grasmere, however, although very popular, is for people who appreciate beauty in its finest form and want to get out exploring.
It is so beautiful in fact that William Wordsworth once described the place as 'the loveliest spot that man hath found.' Grasmere was actually the home of the famous poet with two of the town's best loved attractions being two of his former homes - Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount.

On the subject of attractions, Grasmere may be a place of great beauty but it also has a wealth of activities available for people of all ages and tastes to enjoy. There are also many shopping experiences to be had too.
As you'd expect one of the most popular offerings is the variety of walks and trails that are on offer. There's nothing better than walking through the fells and experiencing nature as it should be. It also happens to be a great base for hill walking.

Grasmere Church is also a popular landmark to see and there is also the chance to have your name engraved in a paving stone in the Wordsworth Daffodil garden.
Shops and places to eat are also aplenty too.
